OPERATION INSPECTION REPORT FOR SAFE SHUTDOWN IMPOUNDMENT DAM
Dear Mr. Blevins:
- Enclosed is a copy of the Operation Inspection Report-for Safe Shutdown Impoundment Dam (SSID) prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission., The enclosure contains the results of an inspection on June 6, 2007, on SSID at Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2. The inspection included the SSID zioned earth and rock-fill dam and the equalization canal. During the inspection, no conditions were observed that would adversely affect the safety of the dam or the nuclear facility. The maintenance of the impoundment appeared to be satisfactory.
At FERC's request, the enclosure is not being made publicly available since it contains critical energy infrastructure information.
