I Russell W. Goyette 7 Strathmere Street Waretown, NJ 08758 February 2, 2008 Governor Jonathan Corzine P.O. Box 101 Trenton, NJ 08625 Re:

01' Rust Bucket

Dear Mr. Governor:

"O1' Rust Bucket"- That's what many of the locals affectionately call the Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant. The name seems appropriate since the plant has suffered corrosion over the years.

The plant is particularly old; it's worn out. Over the years, it has served its purpose well. But its time is over.

The benefits no longer outweigh the risks.

When I moved to the area in 2003, I was aware of the presence of a nuclear plant. But I also knew its service period was about to end. Oyster Creek should be allowed to operate no longer.

NIMBY used to mean "Not In My Back Yard.". Now it should mean "No longer In My Back Yard."

Close Oyster Creek before ol' Rust Bucket becomes the legacy of the Bush Administration /

NRC "The Chernoble of the Jersey Shore." I hope not!

Sincerely, cc President George W. Bush Paul Gunter (Nuclear Watchdog Project)
