Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station (PVNGS)
Units: 1, 2, and 3 Dockets: 50-528, 50-529, and 50-530 Licenses: NPF-41, NPF-51 and NPF-74 Revision of PVNGS Emergency Plan Implementing Procedure Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(q), Arizona Public Service Company (APS) is forwarding revision to procedure 40DP-9ZZ19, Revision 23, "Operational Considerations for Fire",
which became effective on January 18, 2008. APS has evaluated the changes incorporated in the revised procedure and has determined the changes do not decrease the effectiveness of the Emergency Plan and the Plan continues to comply with the standards of 10 CFR 50.47(b) and the requirements of Appendix E to 10 CFR 50.
Certain procedures contain information considered private or proprietary (i.e., names and telephone numbers for use during an emergency) which have been redacted in accordance with NRC Generic Letter No. 81-27.
It is Arizona Public Service Company's position that the attached enclosures, while not safeguards information, contain sensitive unclassified information that should be exempt from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390(d)(1). The pages which contain the sensitive unclassified information have been identified in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(b)(1)(i)(A), "withhold from public disclosure under 10 CFR 2.390."
No commitments are being made to the NRC by this letter.
