The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the NRC or staff) received a license renewal application (LRA) from AmerGen Energy Company, LLC, dated January 8, 2008, for the renewal of the operating licenses for the Three Mile Island Nuclear Plant, Unit 1. The purpose of these sessions is for the NRC staff to provide information describing the license renewal process and how the public can participate. The agendas for the sessions are enclosed. Information on the license renewal process is available at http://www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/ licensing/renewal.html, the NRCs Web site.
These sessions will be preceded by an informal open house beginning one hour prior to each session. The open house will provide members of the public with an opportunity to talk informally with the NRC staff.
