BRAIDWOOD STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, BYRON STATION, UNIT NO. 2, PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3, AND QUAD CITIES NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 -
CORRECTION OF ADMINISTRATIVE ERRORS IN AMENDMENT RE:
THE CONSISTENCY OF THE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TO THE EXELON GENERATION COMPANY QUALITY ASSURANCE TOPICAL REPORT (TAC NOS. MD3937 THRU MD3940, AND MD3943 THRU MD3948)
Dear Mr. Pardee:
On November 19, 2007, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued amendments to the facility operating licenses for, among others, Braidwood Station, Units 1 and 2, Byron Station, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 and 3, and Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station (QCNPS), Units 1 and 2. The amendments modified technical specification (TS) requirements to provide consistency with Exelon Generation Companys Quality Assurance Topical Report.
Subsequent to issuance, the NRC staff noted that the amendments for the subject plants contained errors. The errors were limited to using out-of-date license pages to create the revised page 3 of the operating license at PBAPS, Units 2 and 3, and page 4 of the operating license for QCNPS, Units 1 and 2, and inserting amendment numbers in incorrect paragraphs of the licenses for Byron and Braidwood. The errors were administrative in nature and did not affect the NRCs conclusions about the acceptability of this amendment. No errors were identified in Byron Station Unit No. 1, or Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3, amendments, which were included in the November 19, 2007, amendment package.
