Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC Oconee Nuclear Site, Units 1, 2, and 3 Docket Numbers 50-269, 50-270, and 50-287 NFPA 805 "Pilot Plant" Transition Project Attached to this letter are "draft" B-i, B-2, and B-3 Tables for your information. These documents are provided as part of Oconee participation as an industry "pilot plant" and are provided in advance of the November 2007 NRC pilot plant meetings in which the topic of the B-1, B-2, and B-3 (includes three example fire area) transition reports will be discussed.
The attached documents are provided for information only to communicate the proposed structure, content, and level of detail for the transition reports in support of the planned licensing amendment request for Oconee that is currently scheduled for submittal -to the NRC by May 31, 2008.
It is requested that the attachments to this letter be handled as "Sensitive Information -
Withhold from Public Disclosure under 10 CFR 2.390(d)(1)". This request is consistent with "pilot plant" process for communication of information that could reveal plant vulnerabilities due to fire.
There are no commitments being made as a result of this submittal.
