PUBLIC OUTREACH MEETING REGARDING WATTS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 2
Dear Mr. Jones:
On behalf of the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I invite you to attend a public meeting planned for Tuesday, December 4, 2007, where NRC representatives will discuss plans for licensing and inspection of the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant, Unit 2. The meeting will be held from 6:00 - 9:30 p.m. in the Little Theater at Rhea County High School in Evensville. We plan to talk about upcoming NRC activities, including the safety and environmental review process.
We appreciate the opportunity to answer any questions or comments that you and members of the public may have.
Prior to the public meeting, we have made arrangements to meet separately with State and local government officials, providing an opportunity for discussion of issues of interest to you regarding NRCs oversight of Watts Bar. This meeting will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the Rhea County offices on the second floor of the Phil Swafford Annex Building, 375 Church Street, Dayton, Tennessee.
