APPROVAL OF INDIRECT TRANSFER OF LICENSES FOR SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT, UNITS 1 AND 2 The purpose of this memorandum is to inform the NRC internal stakeholders (OPA, OCA, OCAA, and FSME) that an Order will be issued to STP Nuclear Operating Company (STPNOC) approving the indirect transfer of the operating licenses for South Texas Project Electric Generating Station. The license transfer request dated May 3, 2007, and the supplemental e-mail dated June 28, 2007, and letters dated July 23 and October 3, 2007, have been reviewed by the NRR technical staff and OGC. Issuance of the Order is expected on or about October 24, 2007.
