COOPER NUCLEAR STATION EXTENSION REQUEST FOR
RESPONSE TO NOTICE OF VIOLATION (NRC SPECIAL INSPECTION
REPORT 05000298/2007007)
Dear Mr. Minahan:
The NRC staff received your August 23, 2007, letter that requested an extension of the due
date for replying to a Notice of Violation issued by the NRC on August 17, 2007
(ML072290167). The extension was requested to allow Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD)
additional time to gain a better understanding of the basis for the violation.
The staff approves an extension of the due date for your reply to the Notice of Violation. As
discussed in your letter, we understand that NPPD is not contesting the final significance
determination (White) as documented in our August 17 letter, and will submit a response to the
Notice of Violation by October 16, 2007.
