STAFF REQUIREMENTS - BRIEFING ON PALO VERDE NUCLEAR GENERATING STATION, 2:00 P.M., TUESDAY, JULY 24, 2007, COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM, ONE WHITE FLINT NORTH, ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND (OPEN TO PUBLIC ATTENDANCE)
The Commission was briefed by representatives of Arizona Public Service (APS) on their commitment and action to improve and sustain performance at the Palo Verde site and to remove Unit 3 from the multiple/repetitive degraded cornerstone column in the action matrix of NRCs Reactor Oversight Program (ROP).
The staff should assess if there is any current or historical (last three years) correlation between licensee performance and the number of active licensed operators and/or those in the licensed operator training pipeline.
