Dear Sir or Madam:
The reference letter transmitted the results of NRC Inspection Report No. 5000361/2007404 and 5000362/2007404 to Southern California Edison (SCE).
The in-office inspection was conducted to review the circumstances related to a security event that occurred between March 18 and 27, 2006 at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS), Units 2 and 3.
The reference letter included a Notice of Violation and required SCE to provide a written response within 30 days of the date of the inspection report. The enclosure to this letter provides SCE's response to the Notice of Violation. Because the enclosure to this submittal contains security related information, SCE requests the NRC withhold the enclosure from public disclosure in accordance with 10CFR2.390.
