By letters dated June 1, 2006 (PY-CEI/NRR-2963L and PY-CEI/NRR-2964L), FirstEnergy Nuclear'Ope'ratingd Company submitted two license amendment requests involving MODE 3
.and 4,Residu6al H-leat Removal (RHR) Shutdown Cooling System Technical Specifications for Nuclear Re gul0a'tory Commission (NRC) consideration. Based on discussions with the NRC staff,'tfese two license amendment requests are hereby withdrawn. The Technical Specification compliance issues that these two requests were designed to resolve are being discussed with industry organizations for potential generic resolution.
