LICENSEE: CONSTELLATION ENERGY, LLC FACILITY: CALVERT CLIFFS NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 and 2

SUMMARY

OF MAY 22, 2007, ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING WITH CONSTELLATION ENERGY, LLC On May 22, 2007, at 6:30 p.m., an Annual Assessment Meeting was conducted at the Holiday Inn Express between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Constellation Energy, LLC (Constellation). The NRC requested the meeting with Constellation management to discuss the NRCs assessment of the safety performance of Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2 (Calvert Cliffs).

The NRC presented and discussed its assessment of the safety performance of Calvert Cliffs for the period between January 1 through December 31, 2006. The NRC presentations included a discussion of the Reactor Oversight Process, 2006 Calvert Cliffs performance assessment results, and an overview of calendar year 2007 planned inspections. As part of the annual assessment meeting, Constellation presented an overview of their performance and initiatives in selected areas. A member of the media observed the meeting and was offered the opportunity to communicate with the NRC regarding Constellation's performance at Calvert Cliffs and the role of the agency in ensuring safe plant operations.
