NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL OF VAN BUREN COUNTY AND COVERT TOWNSHIP VAN BUREN COUNTY and COVERT TOWNSHIP hereby voluntarily and with prejudice withdraw from this proceeding and withdraw hereby their Request for Hearing and Petition for Leave to Intervene on all issues. The Memorandum and Order of the NRC served April 26, 2007 provided, in Section IV-B that the County and Township may withdraw their current financial contentions after reviewing the redacted financial information. In addition, the Petition seeking intervention on the part of VAN BUREN COUNTY and COVERT TOWNSHIP raised an issue as to the adequacy of decommissioning funds transferred to ENTERGY NUCLEAR PALISADES, L.L.C. In light of the Commission's prior rulings in similar cases and in light of the lack of financial resources of VAN BUREN COUNTY and COVERT TOWNSHIP to prosecute properly the issues which it sought to present in these proceedings, VAN BUREN
COUNTY and COVERT TOWNSHIP withdraw hereby all contentions raised in their Petition to Intervene dated December 5, 2006.
