Office Director Comments on DPO 2006-003 Panel Report I have reviewed the Panel's response to DPO 2006-003 and discussed my comments with Mark Caruso (panel member) on November 29, 2006. Overall, I was satisfied with the report. I had one question concerning the modification to the Oconee Low Pressure Injection System. That question involved the ability of the plant to successfully respond to a break of one Core Flood Tank injection line downstream of the last check valve before entering the vessel. Mark Caruso reported back that the Oconee safety analyses had concluded that the remaining flood tank and high pressure injection system adequately mitigated this break. I asked that this information be documented as part of the final DPO report to me.
