At this stage in the DPO process you have an opportunity to review the report with a focus on ensuring that the DPO Panel has accurately and completely characterized your concerns (i.e., if you raised three concerns, the report addressed three concerns). Please limit your comments to this high-level review. Keep in mind that you have an opportunity to address conclusions and recommendations in the DPO Decision (which may or may not be the same as those in the report) through the DPO Appeal process.
I have also asked the Director, NRR to review the report and ensure that the report is clear, complete, and accurate with respect to the existing staff position.
The DPO Panel will review the comments and determine whether a revised DPO Panel report is necessary. The DPO Panel will either issue a revised report or notify the Director, NRR that the original report stands. The Director, NRR will then issue a DPO Decision to you. You have 21 calendar days (CDs) to submit an appeal to the EDO through the DPOPM.
Please email me your comments by November 6, 2006, (10 CDs from today) so that I may pass them on to the DPO Panel for their consideration.
I am including the latest Milestones and Timeliness Goals for this DPO.
