z On November 8, 2006, the NRC extended the Monticello operating license an additional 20 years. With the renewal, the operating license is extended through September 8, 2030.

Monticello Inspection Activities January 1 - December 31, 2006 The inspections at Monticello were performed by the Resident Inspectors and Regional Inspectors. The Regional Inspectors included specialists in Security, Emergency Preparedness, and Radiation Protection.
There were 10 Green or SL-IV Inspection Findings identified during 2006.
There was no refueling outage in 2006.
