IPEC report Dec 13 Indian Point Energy Center Status Report December 13, 2006 Operational Status Unit 2 is operating at 100% and has been on-line for 13 days. Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 145 days.
Progress Entergy to Consider New Nuclear Plants Progress Energy has announced that it is looking at building up to two reactors at a 3,000-acre site in Levy County, about eight miles north of the Crystal River station. The Crystal River site includes Progress Energy's only reactor in Florida and four coal-fired units. If it decides to build a new reactor, the unit could go online around 2016, Progress Energy said.
Educational Outreach Entergy Nuclear Northeast provides customized outreach education programs for schools, youth groups, and civic organizations. The topics we cover include Emergency Planning, Understanding Radiation, Nuclear Fuel and a general overview of the operations of Indian Point Energy Center.
