OF NOVEMBER 20, 2006, CLOSED MEETING WITH FENOC ON FENOC FLEET SECURITY ISSUES (TAC NOS. MD3415, MD3416, MD3417, and MD3418)
On November 20, 2006, a closed meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and representatives of FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC),
the licensee for Beaver Valley Nuclear Power Station (Beaver Valley), Unit Nos. 1 and 2, Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (Davis-Besse), Unit 1, and Perry Nuclear Power Plant (Perry), Unit No. 1 at the NRC headquarters located at Two White Flint North, 11545 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland. The purpose of the meeting was to inform the NRC staff about the design of FENOCs security and authorization programs, and the related initiatives in progress.
The licensees presentation to the NRC staff included an overview of FENOCs security program; an update of force-on-force activities; FENOCs security force operations, training, and administration; and a presentation on security working hours and fatigue issues.
Members of the public were not in attendance, since this was a closed meeting.
