DIABLO CANYON POWER PLANT, UNIT 1 - REVIEW OF 2005 STEAM GENERATOR TUBE INSPECTION REPORTS FOR THE 13TH REFUELING OUTAGE (1R13) (TAC NO. MD3761)
Dear Mr. Keenan:
By letters dated November 25, 2005, February 24 and June 23, 2006 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Nos. ML053410394, ML060660468, and ML061860377, respectively), Pacific Gas and Electric Company, the licensee for Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP), Unit No. 1, submitted information summarizing the results of the 2005 steam generator (SG) tube inspections at DCPP, Unit No. 1. These inspections were performed during the 13th refueling outage (1R13). Additional information concerning the 2005 SG tube inspections at DCPP, Unit No. 1, was summarized by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff in a letter dated January 18, 2006 (ADAMS Accession No. ML053640392). The NRC staff's review of these reports is documented in letter dated September 20, 2006 (ADAMS Accession No. ML062440140).
By letter dated November 27, 2006 (ADAMS Accession No. ML063380449), the licensee provided additional information regarding the 2005 1R13 at DCPP, Unit No. 1, to satisfy the requirements of Technical Specification 5.6.10.b. The NRC staff reviewed this submittal and concludes that the licensee provided the information required by their technical specifications.
In addition, the NRC staff did not identify any issues that were not already addressed in the previous review dated September 20, 2006.
