FORTHCOMING MEETING WITH EXELON GENERATING COMPANY, LLC (EGC), TO DISCUSS LICENSING AMENDMENT REQUEST FOR THE ROD CONTROL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (RCMS) AND THE ULTIMATE HEAT SINK (UHS)

Due to the unique nature of the RCMS license amendment request (LAR), EGC is requesting a pre-application meeting with the NRC staff to discuss the technical aspects of the request and to identify the specific scope and level of detail of information needed prior to EGC resubmitting the LAR.
EGC has also requested a meeting with the NRC staff regarding the ultimate heat sink (UHS) LAR to better understand the staffs safety evaluation report which denied EGCs March 13, 2006, amendment request.

- This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.
