LETTER REPORT FOR URANIUM ANALYSIS OF ONE WATER SAMPLE, SET TEN, FROM THE INDIAN POINT POWER STATION, BUCHANAN, NEW YORK

Dear Mr. Kottan:
The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE) received set ten, which consisted of one water sample, on August 22,2006 from the Indian Point Power Station in Buchanan, New York The sample was collected from the Unit 1 Spent Fuel Pool on Jdy 6,2006 at 0930. The sample was analyzed by alpha spectroscopy (AP11, Revision 3 and ( 2 2, Revision 12) for uranium-234, uranium-235 and uranium-238. The concentrations, uncertainties, and minimum detectable concentrations of those radionuclides were 0.15 f 0.21; 0.36 pWL, -0.05 0.20; 0.51 pWL, and 0.22 f 0.18; 0.11 pWL, respectively.
ORISE's Quality Control (QC) requirements were met for these analyses. The QC files are available for your review upon request.
