CORRECTION LETTER FOR THE ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS RE: THE TRANSFER OF LICENSES PERMITTING THE TRANSFER OF THE UNDIVIDED OWNERSHIP INTEREST HELD BY THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY, EXCLUDING ITS INTEREST IN SPENT FUEL AND IN THE INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION (TAC NOS. MD0345 AND MD0346)
Dear Mr. Rosenblum:
By Order dated September 27, 2006, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved the transfer of Facility Operating Licenses (FOLs) Nos. NPF-10 and NPF-15 for the San Onofre Steam Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 (SONGS 2 and 3), respectively, to the extent held by the City of Anaheim (Anaheim) to Southern California Edison Company (SCE). The Order excludes Anaheim's interest in its spent fuel and in the SONGS 2 and 3 independent spent fuel storage installation (ISFSI), which will be retained by Anaheim. SCE will retain exclusive responsibility and control over the operation of SONGS 2 and 3. Thus, the transfer does not involve any transfer or change in operating authority.
On December 29, 2006, the Commission issued the conforming amendments, Amendment No. 209 for FOL No. NPF-10 and Amendment No. 201 for FOL No. NPF-15, reflecting the transfer of the license. Pages 2 and 3 of the FOLs were included as attachments to the letter.
R. Rosenblum It was subsequently brought to our attention that the amendment numbers were not typed within the paragraph titled, Technical Specifications, on page 3 of the FOLs. We have attached page 3 of the FOL for SONGS 2 and 3, with the amendment numbers. We regret the oversight.
