In Reference 1, Indiana Michigan Power Company (I&M) submitted a request for approval of a proposed risk-informed inservice inspection (RI-ISI) program for American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Code Class 1 and 2 piping welds. As a part of the request, I&M volunteered to serve as a pressurized water reactor pilot plant for an ASME Code Case N-716 based RI-ISI program. In Reference 2, I&M requested a waiver of fees for the review of the proposed RI-ISI programn.

In Reference 3, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) denied I&M's fee waiver request.

NRC personnel subsequently requested that I&M confirm its request for NRC review and approval of the RI-ISI program proposed by Reference 1, and confirm that I&M agrees to pay

U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Conmmission Page 2 AEP:NRC:6055-22 the fees associated with the NRC review and approval of the proposed progranm I&M hereby confirms its request for NRC review and approval of the proposed RI-ISI program and agrees to pay the fees associated with the review.

This letter contains no new conm-mitments.
