JAMES A. FITZPATRICK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT RESPONSE TO JULY 13, 2006, NOTICE OF VIOLATION (NRC INVESTIGATION REPORT NO. 1-2005-023)
Dear Mr. Dietrich:
The NRC has received your response to Notice of Violation EA-06-073 dated August 11, 2006, which documented a violation associated with non-business use of the Internet in the control room.
In this letter, you stated that Entergy agrees with the violation and has taken corrective action steps to avoid further violations.
Thank you for informing us of your corrective actions documented in your letter. These actions will be examined during a future inspection of your licensed program. You are not required to respond to this letter unless the description herein does not accurately reflect your position. In that case, or if you choose to provide additional information, you should provide a response within 30 days of the date of this letter to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, ATTN.: Document Control Desk, Washington DC 20555-0001; with copies to the Regional Administrator, Region I; the Director, Office of Enforcement, United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Washington, DC 20555-0001; and the NRC Resident Inspector at the James A. FitzPatrick facility.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter, its enclosure(s), and your response (if any) will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
