Indian Point Energy Center Status Report July 6 2006 Operational Status-Unit 3 Off-Line Indian Point Energy Center Unit 3 is currently offline. The unit went offline earlier this morning at 3:52 a.m. when the unit experienced a direct turbine trip caused by a relay device on the main turbine generator.

There was no release of radiation. All systems responded as expected.

All rods fully inserted. Operations personnel are currently investigating the cause of the trip. A copy of the press release is attached.

Indian Point's Unit 2 remains at 100% power and has been online for 49 days.
