Trigger values at IPEC John /Jim:

Trigger values for our monitoring well / REMP water sampling program are as follows:

  • MW-40, MW-48 and MW-51 o 2000 pCi/L H-3 o 2 pCi/L Sr-90 The H-3 trigger values are based on 25% and 10% of the drinking water criteria. The basis for the Sr-90 trigger value are also 25% and 10% of the drinking water criteria, plus an allowance for background in drinking water based on EPA RADNET data for NYS at the 95th PC (-0.4 pCi/L), and then raised to the next highest whole number.
