Dear Mrs. Bennington:
The purpose of this letter is to request a route re-approval for the rail transportation routes, previously approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in accordance with 10 CFR 73.37(b)(7) by letter dated May.17, 1999. That letter provided a two year approval for the rail transportation routes from the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant, Units 1 and 2, and from the H. B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit No. 2, to the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant. The two routes requested to be re-approved are Rail Route #130 and Rail Route
- 135.
In order to support desired shipping schedules, Carolina Power & Light Company requests that the NRC renew the route approvals by May 16, 2001.
