Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Withdrawal of License Amendment Application (License AmendmentRequest (LAR) 03-0015; TAC No. MC8004)
Ladies and Gentlemen:
By letter dated July 27, 2005 (Serial Number 3158), the FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) submitted License Amendment Request (LAR) 03-0015, an application for amendment of the Operating License, Appendix A, Technical Specifications (TS) for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS). The proposed amendment would revise TS 3/4.8.1.1, "A. C. Sources - Operating," to adopt a more recent standard for diesel fuel oil testing, and allow Surveillance Requirements (SR) 4.8.1.1.2.d. 1 and 4.8.1.1.2.d.3 to be performed on-line.
By letter dated May 30, 2006 (Serial Number 3262), FENOC requested withdrawal of the portion of LAR 03-0015 that affected TS SR 4.8.1.1.2.d. 1 and TS SR 4.8.1.1.2.d.3.
FENOC hereby requests withdrawal of the remainder of LAR 03-0015. FENOC will reconsider the proposed changes in light of the related Consolidated Line Item Improvement Process Federal Register notice, issued on April 21, 2006 (Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) TSTF-374, "Revision to TS 5.5.13 and Associated TS Bases for Diesel Fuel Oil," 71 FR 20735)., Commitment List, identifies that there are no commitments contained in this letter.
