Dear Mr. Kansler:
On August 15, 2005, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No. 226 revising the Technical Specifications (TSs) for the Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station. By letter dated July 27, 2006, Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (the licensee), informed the NRC that a typographical error was inadvertently introduced during issuance of Amendment No. 226 in that a line of text was omitted in error from TS Section 6.1.C on page 255. Since the error was introduced into a TS section that was not part of the licensees proposed amendment application, the change to TS 6.1.C was not addressed in the Federal Register notice to the public and was not reviewed by the NRC staff.
Therefore, the NRC is enclosing corrected TS page 255 to replace the page issued with Amendment No. 226.
