In the Matter of ) Docket No. 50-259 Tennessee Valley Authority )

BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) - UNIT 1 - WITHDRAWAL OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION (TS) CHANGE 426 - REVISION TO DIESEL GENERATORS ALLOWED OUTAGE TIME By letter dated December 6, 2004 (ADAMS Accession No. ML043430120), Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted a request for an amendment to license DPR-33 for BFN Unit 1.

The proposed amendment revises the current diesel generators seven day allowed outage time to fourteen days.

The purpose of increasing the allowed outage time is to provide additional flexibility for preventive or corrective maintenance and repair of the diesel generators. The change was also noted as ensuring consistency with the current Units 2 and 3 Technical Specifications.

Due to higher priority, ongoing items concerning the restart of Unit 1 and the requests for Extended Power Uprate for Unit 1 and Units 2 and 3, TVA hereby withdraws this TS request.

Sincerely, Original signed by:
