Dear Mr. Jamil:
This letter confirms the public meeting concerning the Catawba Augmented Inspection Team (AIT) Exit Meeting which has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on May 31, 2006. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed. The location of the meeting will be at City Council Chambers, Rock Hill City Hall, 155 Johnston Street, Rock Hill, SC.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS). PURPOSE:
To present the results of the AIT inspection conducted for the loss of offsite power and dual unit reactor trip event at Catawba Nuclear Station on May 20, 2006. This is a newly scheduled meeting. The NRC's Policy Statement, "Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings," effective May 28, 2002, applies to this meeting. The policy statement may be found on the NRC Web site, www.nrc.gov, and contains information regarding conduct of NRC meetings.
