February 21, 2006 Operational Status Indian Point Unit 2 is operating at 100% and has been online 61 days.

Indian Point Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 140 days. Operations and maintenance crews are making plans for 2R17 refueling outage at IP2 scheduled to begin in April.

Indian Point Tritium Investigation The investigation into the source and extent of a tritium plume on site continues. The NRC is continuing its special investigation and oversight. Samples are obtained regularly from both newly installed wells and existing wells on site. The latest sample results are summarized below from the phase 1 monitoring wells.

These wells were installed to characterize the near field tritium plume adjacent to the IP2 spent fuel pool and the 1P2 transformer yard.
