z-Entery Indian Point Energy Center Status Report February 16, 2006 Operational Status Indian Point Unit 2 is operating at 100% and has been online 56 days.

Indian Point Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 135 days. Operations and maintenance crews are making plans for 2R17 refueling outage at IP2 scheduled to begin in April.

RECS Inoperable for Period on Thursday Indian Point Emergency Planning reported this morning that the Radiological Emergency Communication System (RECS) was inoperable. The Local Government Radio was available to be used as a backup system to notify State and Counties.

After troubleshooting and repairs to the system, a roll call was conducted at 2:00 p.m. on the RECS phone system from the IPEC FOF with limited EOCs participating. The test was acceptable with the exception of the Peekskill Warning Point (no ring/remedy repair ticket being prepared with follow-up by IT). A full roll call test of the old RECS phone system is scheduled for Friday, 2/17/06 at 10:00 a.m.
