for Jan. 13 Paqe 2 John Wite_-IPEC White l Jon status report lPEC status report for Jan. 13 Page 21 Daily Status Report January 13, 2006 Operational Status Indian Point Unit 2 is operating at 100% and has been online 22 days.

Indian Point Unit 3 is operating at 100% reactor power and has been on-line for 101 days. Indian Point Energy Center ended 2005 with over 12,000,000 person-hours worked with a day away from work acciden:.

Indian Point Tritium Investigation IP3 Drainage systems shows low levels of tritium As part of the on-going investigation into presence of tritium, a radioactive isotope of hydrogen, in ground water on site, investigators have taken a first round of samples from the storm drainage systems on the south end of the site near IP3.

Samples were collected this week from several locations in each of four drainage systems. The results ranged from no detectable tritium activity, primarily in the up gradient locations on the east side of the site, to between 2500 and 6300 pCVL in the IP3 transformer yard system.

These values for tritium are generally lower than the comparable samples taken in the IP2 transformer yard. A more extensive round of samples will be taken next week The storm drain systems at 1P3 empty into the discharge canal, which is a monitored permitted pathway.

No tritium has been found in any off-site location including drinking water supplies. There are no health or safety impacts to the public or workers from tritium on site.

Entergy Receives Emergency Response Award Entergy has been awarded the Edison Electric Institute's Emergency Response Award for outstanding efforts to restore power following Tropical Storm Cindy and Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Entergy also received the Edison Electric Institute's Emergency Assistance Award for its efforts to help Florida Power &

Light restore power following Hurricane Wilma.
