Dear Mr. Grissette:
This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. Jack Stringfellow of your staff and Mr. Curtis Rapp of this office concerning a Category 1 meeting which has been scheduled for May 23, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Mitigating Systems Performance Indicator and recent residual heat removal system leaks at your Vogtle Electric Generating Plant.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
