10/18/05 4:06PM Conference Call to Discuss Barnegat Bay Environmental Issues Hello Mike Sorry we were unable to meet with you last week during our site visit to the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Plant. The site visit went well, and the daily rainfall totals were impressive.
We were able to meet with Bob Scro and Bob Nicholson on Thursday, and they provided us with an overview of the estuary program and some valuable information on Barnegat Bay.
At your convenience, we would like to schedule a conference call with you to discuss the supplemental environmental impact statement we are developing for the proposed relicensing of the Oyster Creek facility for an additional 20 years of operation. We are interested in your opinions on the potential environmental impacts of this action at both near-and far-field spatial scales, and any technical information you can provide that will help us better understand the past and present ecology of the study area.
Please let me know when a conference call is convenient and I will schedule it with the NRC and Argonne folks.
