Letter from Mary G. Korsnick (Ginna LLC) to Mrs. Donna Skay (NRC),
'Partial Site Release", dated May 20, 2005 In Reference (1), R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, LLC (Ginna LLC) requested that, in accordance with 10 CFR 50.83, a tract of non-impacted land be released from the site of the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant. The NRC provided requests for additional information (RAls) by letters dated September 8, 2005 and September 15, 2005. A response to these RAls was provided on October 22, 2005.
Subsequent to this letter response, Ginna LL.C has further reflected on the basis for this request for site land release, and determined that it would be neither cost nor benefit effective. We are, therefore, withdrawing the Partial Site Release application, and request that no additional NRC review effort should be expended on that submittal.
