NOVEMBER 14,2005 Regi~diiig 'Jne Rcm-wd 6:' Facil iij; Operaii~ig Liccnse No. DPR-16 for a 20-Year Pcriocl DECLARATION OF DONALD WARREN XN SUPPORT OF PETITTON TO REQUEST A HEARTNC AND LEAVE TO INTERVENE ON THE OYSTER CREEK LICENSE ~ N E W A L mmclwmR 1.) lMTJ name is Donald Wanen. I a m a member of Jersey Shore Nuclear Watch (JSNW).
2.) I have s residence at 242 W. 1 51h Street. Shipbottom, N.J. 08008. M y home Iies within 10 to 15 miles of the Oyster Creek nuclear power station site in Forked River New Jcrsey, owned by AmerGen. The applicant, American Energy Company, ILJL a subsidiary of Exelon Nuclear Corporation, has applied to the US.
Nuclew Reguhtory Cclmmission ("NRC") For a twenty (20) year liccasc extension.
3 ) I believe thal he application for a ljcense cxrcnsion of the Oysm Creek nnclear generating station is sufficiently inadequate as written and my interests will not be adequately revresented without this action to intervene and witliout the op.portuaity of the Petitioner to participate as a full pafly in this proceeding on my behalf. If the Oyster
Creek Nuclear Generating Stat~m;&aW! is renewed without resolving the Petitioners'
.'r statcd safcty conccm, this nuclem generat@ gation may operate unsafeh and pose an unacccptablc risk to thc mvironmcnt, thcra!j@copardizmg thc health a c t welfare of the respective Petitioners7-Tr~tewenors' members wlio Ijve, recreate and have businesscs within the vicinity of the nuclear power reactor. My concerns focus on the possibility that if Oyster Creek's Ijcensc is renewed withour resolving the stated safrty issues a nuclear accident could result that causes the death or sickening of myself my family andl my commmity.
