KEWAUNEE POWER STATION USE OF PROTECTED TELECOMMUNICATIONS Pursuant to 73.21 (g)(3), Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc. (DEK) requested approval from the NRC to transmit Safeguards Information by the use of protected telecommunications in a July 11, 2005 letter (Serial No.05-412).
The protected telecommunications system that we are proposing to use is the Private1 Model 960v encryption system from L-3 Communications Systems. Based on a request from the NRC staff, the part number is K10047665-503, which the Cryptographic Modules Validation List (item 108) indicates as having software version v7.10.
