- CATEGORY ONE MEETING PROGRESS ENERGY, DOCKET NO. 50-400
Dear Mr. Gannon:
This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. Dave Corlett of your staff and myself on November 2, 2005, concerning a Category One public meeting requested by you which is scheduled for November 15, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. (EST). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss security initiatives at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant. The location of the meeting will be at the Region II Office, Sam Nunn Atlanta Federal Center, 61 Forsyth Street, S.W., Atlanta, Georgia, 30303 in Suite 24T20. The meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with NRCs Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67, Number 102, 36920-36924). As safeguards information may be discussed at certain times, these portions of the meeting will be closed to members of the public who have not been cleared for access to this information.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
