SUBJECT:
WATTS BAR PLANT VISIT BY ATOMIC SAFETY & LICENSING BOARD PANEL (ASLBP) JUDGES AND STAFF
Dear Mr. Skaggs:
This is a sincere note of appreciation for the efforts that your staff made on our behalf with respect to the plant visit by the ASLBP judges and staff on June 23. We recognize the significant resource and schedule challenge presented by 29 escorted visitors. The badging process and site orientation was well coordinated by your Licensing, Security, and Health Physics staff. The extra security personnel who accompanied the tour group were especially helpful and invaluable support in accessing areas during the tour. The visitors also encountered many of your staff from other departments. Their patience and knowledge was evident in response to the many questions they were asked. Everyone went above and beyond to assure that the visit was valuable and successful for all of the visitors. Please convey my genuine appreciation and that of the NRC to your staff for supporting an outstanding visit.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
