OF CLOSED MEETING HELD ON MAY 30, 2005, WITH EXELON GENERATION COMPANY AND WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC COMPANY TO DISCUSS PROPRIETARY INFORMATION RELATED TO REQUEST FOR LICENSE AMENDMENT SUPPORTING TRANSITION TO WESTINGHOUSE FUEL (TAC NOS. MC7323, MC7324, MC7325, AND MC7326)

On May 30, 2005, representatives of Exelon Generation Company, LLC (Exelon), and Westinghouse Electric Company (Westinghouse) met with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to discuss proprietary material regarding the applicability of Westinghouse fuel and analytical methods and the evaluation of licensing basis events supporting Exelon's license amendment request dated June 15, 2005. The meeting was requested by Exelon.

Exelon began the meeting with an overview of the license amendment request for Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3, and Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2, regarding transition to Westinghouse's SVEA-96 Optima2 fuel. Exelon presented various technical items of interest and discussed future interactions to facilitate NRC staff review of the submittal. Following the meeting, the NRC staff expressed its appreciation to Exelon for the presentation.
