POD Bullet list for PdM Group

1. 1P-OO1B-M RCP Motor Upper Oil Pot - Oil sludge found in the upper oil pot appears to be the result of an ineffective additive package in the oil to control foaming. Samples are being sent for additional analysis that will confirm the issue. Disassembly of the upper motor area will be required to determine extent the problem on the IP-OO1B-M and a visual inspection of the oil lift system filter on the IP-OO1A-M will address extent of condition. Corrective actions will be recommended based on analysis results and additional inspections.
2. IZ-013 Polar Crane - Oil analysis results indicate active wear has ceased in the main and auxiliary hoist gear cases. An oil change is still being recommended to reduce the residual levels of pre-existing wear debris.
3. OP-032A-M Service Water pump - Lower motor bearing was identified as needing grease on 4/9/04. Bearing was greased on 4/14/04 and vibration indication was corrected. Engineering follow-up is required as to why the bearing required re-greasing four months after the normal PM was performed.
