SUMMARY
OF THE MAY 25, 2005, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE QUAD CITIES END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT On May 25, 2005, a public meeting was held at the Best Western Steeplegate Inn, in Davenport, Iowa between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station management and staff. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRCs assessment of the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2, performance for the period of January 1, 2004, through December 31, 2004.
The NRC presentation provided an overall assessment of the Quad Cities Stations performance as described in NRCs Annual Assessment Letter - Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, dated March 2, 2005, (reference ADAMS accession number ML050620467). The Quad Cities Station, Units 1 and 2, operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety and fully met all cornerstone objectives.
Mr. Tim Tulon, Quad Cities Site Vice President, responded on behalf of the licensee and the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station. Mr. Tulon provided an overview of improvement efforts at the Quad Cities Station with an emphasis on the initiatives related to source term reduction, steam dryer replacement, and equipment upgrades.

Before adjourning the meeting, the NRC provided the opportunity for members of the audience to ask questions. No members of the public attended the meeting.
