Withdrawal of License Amendment Request Related to Application of Alternative Source Term

Letter from M. P. Gallagher (Exelon Generation Company, LLC) to US NRC, dated July 14, 2003, Request for License Amendments Relating to PBAPS Application of Alternative Source Term In the referenced letter, Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) requested an amendment to support application of alternative source term (AST) methodology at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station (PBAPS), Units 2 & 3. This LAR proposed certain Technical Specification (TS) and TS Bases changes for PBAPS Units 2 & 3 as part of implementing an AST methodology.
In an April 29,2005 conference call, the NRC and EGC discussed several concerns with the proposed AST amendment. It was determined that the submittal currently lacks information that is needed to continue the NRC review. Therefore, EGC is withdrawing the referenced license amendment request with plans to resubmit at a later date.
