Dear Ms. Skay:
In Reference (a), the results of the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant inservice inspections for the refueling outage conducted in 2003 were submitted. As the result of recent discussions with the NRC staff, R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, LLC would like to provide the following informnation.
- 1.
With regards to Weld RC-273-I, the Weld ISI Summary Number is 005000. The last time that the weld was examined was in 1990. The results of the 1990 examination are as follows:
PT: no recordable indications UT: no recordable indications These examination results were documented within Reference (b), Attachment 1, Page 1.

With regards to Weld RC-1 000-MSW-1, the Weld ISI Summary Number is 004800. The last time that the weld was examined was in 1995. The results of the 1995 examination are as follows:
PT: insignificant - 1 indication, L=0, W=1/8", UP, 1/16" round UT: no recordable & geometry - ID geometry These examination results were documented within Reference (c), NIS-1 Section, Page 3.
- 3.
Welds RC-273-I and RC-1000-MSW-1 do not contain Alloy 600/690 material. These welds are stainless.
- 4.
There were no rejectable indications found in Alloy 600/690 materials during the current (2005) outage.
