Use of Alternate Decay Heat Removal in Mode 6 Refueling By letter dated June 7, 2004 (Reference a) and supplemented by letter dated March 3, 2005 (Reference b),
Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Inc. requested an amendment to its Renewed Operating License Nos. DPR-53 and DPR-69 to incorporate the use of an alternate cooling method to function as a path for decay heat removal when in Mode 6 with the refueling pool fully flooded. After further consideration following our response to a Request for Additional Information (Reference b), Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Inc. hereby requests withdrawal of the above referenced amendment request at this time.
