- CATEGORY ONE MEETING - NRC ANNUAL ASSESSMENT - BRUNSWICK STEAM ELECTRIC PLANT, DOCKET NOS. 50-325 AND 50-324
Dear Mr. Gannon:
This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. Steve Tabor of your staff and Mr.
George MacDonald of this office on March 28, 2005, concerning an Annual Assessment Meeting (Category One public meeting) requested by us which is scheduled for April 12, 2005, at 1:00 p.m (EST). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRC Reactor Oversight Process Annual Assessment of your Brunswick Steam Electric Plant Units 1 and 2. During the meeting, we recognize that you may have information which you want to present to us or any members of the public in attendance. Accordingly, after our presentation you will be afforded an opportunity to respond to any information contained in the Annual Assessment Letter and to discuss any new or existing programs that are designed to maintain or improve your current performance or to address any performance issues that occurred during the 2004 assessment period. The location of the meeting will be at the Brunswick Media Center Auditorium, 8520 River Road SE, Southport, NC 28461. The meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with NRCs Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67, Number 102, 36920-36924).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
