Docket Nos. 50-361 and 50-362 Physical Security Plan, Revision 1 Safeguards Contingency Plan, Revision I San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Units 2 and 3 Gentlemen:
On October 29, 2004, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approved the revised Security Plans of the operating power reactors including the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS). These Plans were prepared and implemented in accordance NRC Security Order EA-03-086.
Southern California Edison (SCE) has made changes to the SONGS Physical Security Plan (PSP) and Safeguards Contingency Plan (SCP) that SCE has determined do not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the PSP or SCP. In accordance with 10 CFR
§ 50.54(p)(2), a report containing a description of these changes along with the changed pages is enclosed for your information.
Note that the enclosure to this letter contains safeguards information. This letter may be decontrolled upon separation from its enclosure.
